Fat Loss is Simple Dont Make It Complicated
Weight loss is something that almost everyone aims for at some point in their life. When it comes to weight loss, there are only two things that are important: macronutrient and calorie intake.
If you want to lose weight, you must be in calorie deficit. In case you are not aware of what calorie deficit means, the first thing that you need to do is to figure out the maintenance calories of yours. After that you simply have to eat fewer calories than that number. You should aim to eat 500 calories less than your maintenance calories. Do that, lift weights, eat a lot of protein, stay consistent, and you will surely lose fat.
Many people don’t realize that the fad diets are only for the short-term. Many people go for these fad diets and this is one of the main reasons why so many people don’t achieve their fitness goals.
They start pointing and taking out different food items from their life. For example, burgers, ice cream, beer etc. And then when their diet gets ruined because of a meal or an outing, their entire fitness journey starts going downhill. The end result is zero net progress on the fitness goals and a lot of wasted time.
There is No Need to Complicate Things
Remember that eating clean is not the solution to losing fat. In case you are craving ice cream, go ahead and eat it. Going out to a dinner with your spouse? Eat whatever you like. But make sure that whatever you eat fits your daily requirement of calorie and/or macro intake. If you take care of your calorie count, all these dirty foods would not make you fat. Make sure that you are eating the whole foods and then you can eat the dirty foods in moderation. Just don’t do overeating.
You can achieve great results by taking minimal approach with your nutrition and training. You don’t have to avoid your favorite foods in order to get the body that you want to have.
Remember, keep things simple. Majority of the stuff that you read in fitness magazines is absolutely BS. And I am not exaggerating. In order to lose fat, here are the three things that you should do:
1. Make sure you are in calorie deficit.
2. Make sure to eat at least 1 gram of protein per pound of your bodyweight.
3. And lastly, lift a lot of heavy weights.
What? Is it this simple?
Yup, that’s all you need to do if you want to lose fat. There are some minor things involved, but these are the three main things that you should worry about. There is no need for the rubbish like “eat 5 meals a day” or “always eat your breakfast” or don’t eat the carbs in the evening”. Most of these tips that you read and hear in the mainstream are simply myths. And there are many of them.
You might be thinking about questions like what foods you should eat, what supplements you should take and what exercises you should do to lose fat. These are all secondary things compared to the three main things that I have listed above. For example, it will not matter if everything that you eat consists of whole foods if you are still eating more calories than your limit for the day. Or if you are using the number 1 fat loss product in the market but you are eating too much.
